Scott Dunn article regarding Longmont City Council Member Alex Sammoury
In a time where voting often seems like choosing the lesser of two evils, this year Longmont citizens have an opportunity to return to City Council someone who has earned the respect and trust of the people of Longmont. That person in Alex... Sammoury. When Alex was elected to Council in 2009 Longmont was under a cloud created by elected leaders who had sent a message unfriendly to prospective businesses as they permitted the nastiness of politics that we thought was confined to Washington to invade our community.
Alex with his characteristic grace and intelligence has been vital to changing the image of our City to again being a serious place with responsible leadership. Alex is a pragmatic individual who focuses on issues that are important to people’s day to day lives rather than pursuing an ideological agenda. Alex’s continued representation on the City Council is vital to Longmont’s future. Make sure to complete your ballot and vote for Alex Sammoury, Council-at Large.
